About

I grew up on Long Island, New York in a small town, called Miller Place. At the age of 15, while driving with my mom in the car, a small voice spoke to me and told me I should become a chiropractor.
 
Since that moment I never considered anything else.
 
I graduated high school in 1986, then off to Saint Joseph’s College (1986-1988) to complete the requirements for me to get into Chiropractic School, at Life University in Georgia (1988-1992).
 
After graduation from Chiropractic School in 1992, I moved to Arizona. Initially, I practiced in Tempe. Eventually, I opened my own practice in Metro Center (Phoenix), Arrowhead (Peoria), Desert Ridge (Phoenix), Ahwatukee Foothills where I now reside, and finally the Phoenix Ahwatukee area where our current office is located.
 
For the past 29 years, I have been married to my beautiful wife, Lisa (who I met in the Chiropractic business). Lisa keeps herself busy running her businesses, Standard Digital X-Ray and Innerlight Dance Center.
Our daughters Amanda is my greatest success. She is a junior at ASU studying Bio-Medical Engineering. She enjoys reading, writing and baking, but most of all she loves to dance.
 
Our home also includes a 6-year-old Frenchie, Capone, who we rescued, and Stella, our 2-year-old Miniature Schnauzer. We are just happy that the two of them let us live there.
 
My mom lives in Ahwatukee, where she recently reluctantly retired. My two sisters Nancy and Andrea, both younger than myself, live out of state with their families. Each of them has two daughters and a son.
 
In my spare time, I love to road bike, mountain bike, read, play softball and golf. I also enjoy traveling to California, watching live sports and music, going to the movies and I’m a huge fan of the band RUSH!

Born in Albuquerque New Mexico, I moved to Arizona with my entire family at the age of 7 years old and I’ve called Arizona home ever since. I graduated from Chandler High School in 2007, where I played softball and took graphic design.
 
After injuring myself senior year varsity softball, I turned to being on the other side of sports, the medical rehabilitation side.
 
In 2008, I graduated as a Licensed Massage Therapist and have been working to restore health and function for over 10 years. I have worked in Physical Medicine Clinics, Chiropractic Clinics, and Golf Body Works – a stretch clinic in Scottsdale stretching and massaging golfers and athletes.
 
I currently work as the office manager at Platinum Medical Group in the Ahwatukee / Phoenix area and have been assisting with patient care and keeping the office working as one unit for over 7 years.
 
When I’m not working, I go to school, try to get outdoors exploring, hiking, camping, or hunting, and have been a happy mother to many fur babies for the past 12 or so years. I am attending Grand Canyon University, where I am working to expand my knowledge to help even more people in my community.

Angelita, or Lita as her clients call her, has been in practice for over 5 years. She specializes in Deep tissue Massage and Structural Therapy Sessions. She is knowledgeable about Sports Massage, Myofascial Release Techniques, Prenatal Massage, and is well educated in a variety of modalities, so if softer pressure is what you need, she is capable. Massage sessions with Lita are not only beneficial for your health but educational as well. She likes to help guide her clients with at-home self-care protocols that help provide an overall wellness approach to their daily lives. I moved to the Phoenix area to work at Life Chiropractic in October of 2022 after graduating from chiropractic school from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minnesota. Before that I attended and earned my bachelor’s degree from Saint John’s University (Go Johnnies). I played baseball in college and many other sports in high school as well. I went to high school and grew up in Alexandria, MN.

My family consists of my parents Jeff and Beth, and my younger brother Michael (22). Most all of my family resides in west central Minnesota near where I grew up. My parents were both raised in the area as well. My dad Jeff is a civil engineer and my mom Beth is the office manager at a law firm. My brother, also a Johnnie, recently graduated and started his job as an accountant at KPMG in Minneapolis.

Growing up I always knew my passion was in the health and wellness space. I was lucky enough to be exposed to chiropractic through some family friends and really found it interesting. I originally went to college with the intention of becoming a physical therapist, but my plans soon changed. My experience with chiropractic care, its holistic approach, and freedom available within the profession really struck me as something I could see myself doing for a career. I also, thoroughly enjoy nutrition and fitness as well and love learning about all the intimate details of the body and how to best take care of it.

I am extremely excited to be here, serving the community, learning from Dr. D and growing as a chiropractor and a man. I hope to see you in the office, where we can figure out together how to best take care of you.
